Jamie Least

Content Strategist

Jamie graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2010, with a Bachelor of Science in advertising and public relations. Her early pursuit of psychology and French inspired her to better understand the way others think. Now, through writing, she works on harnessing those perspectives for a purpose.

When she’s not throwing words around, Jamie enjoys dancing like she’s alone in her room. (Sometimes she actually is.) She gets engrossed in sappy chick lit and watching TV shows with cult followings. Jamie also lives to wrestle and converse and/or snuggle with her pup Brody. In the kitchen, she likes cooking, experimenting and tasting. But no baking. Never. Ever. Baking.

Our Core Values at Work

What’s your favorite way to pursue knowledge?
Having a mutually beneficial conversation with someone as passionate as I am about a topic.
What’s one true thing about you that not many people know?
I have a psychic alter ego. Or I'm just a really good guesser. Also, I fully support using the word "smell" as a noun. However, I hate when it's used as a verb. It creeps me out.
What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done?
Gathering the courage to move to North Carolina without knowing anyone here.
What makes you a great team member?
I'd like to think I'm quietly insightful and can generate on-target feedback with an interesting perspective. I also laugh at the jokes that nobody else thinks are funny. Oftentimes, these jokes are my own.
What are five things that make you happy?
My pup; the moment after words have finished flowing and I realize I've been writing "in the zone"; laughing at absolutely nothing; having an epiphany, an "aha" moment or that one big idea to solve a nagging question; ending a conversation with a smile.
